You can make an offer to trade-in your device to us through our website. By doing so you warrant that you accept and will comply with these terms and conditions.
In order to submit an offer through our website, you may use the tool found on our website to provide us with details of the device that you would like to sell to us. The website will generate and provide you with, a non-binding indication of the trade-in price that we may pay for the device based on the details provided. You are under no obligation to accept the generated trade-in price but should you wish to offer to sell to us the device(s) that you have submitted details for, then you will click "submit".
By submitting an offer to us you confirm that you are:
• 18 years old or over
• registered with us
• resident in the UK
• the owner of the device or you have obtained express permission from the rightful owner to trade in the device
We will create a contract with you in accordance with these conditions when we either accept your offer on our website
.
We may refuse to accept a trade-in offer if there has been an error with the website or if you do not meet the conditions.
Price we pay
Please be aware that we only pay for devices listed on our website. Any other Devices received will be recycled accordingly but without any payment being made to you.
All prices include VAT purchased under the VAT margin scheme at the current rate and are subject to these conditions. We reserve the right to change prices without notice, but all ‘pending’ orders placed prior to a price change will be honoured at the agreed price for 14 days from the date that the information is submitted to the website or handed to the company acting on our behalf, except when an obvious pricing error has occurred. We will send you an email notifying you that your order has been accepted when we receive your device(s). If we receive your device(s) after this 14 day period we reserve the right to change the price of your device(s) to reflect the new price (either upwards or downwards) if prices have changed during this period.
The price we pay will depend on the condition of the device. For details of the requirements for like new, good condition, fair, minor damage and damaged devices see our requirement. You agree that you pass legal ownership of the device to us when we pay you for the device.
Preparing the Device
Before sending us the Device:
• Remove all content from the Device including any accounts (icloud/google)
• Remove any SIM or Memory Cards from the Device
• Please note that any packaging or accessories included with the device will be destroyed/recycled and cannot be sent back to you if you request to have your device returned in the case of a downgrade.
We will endeavour to remove and destroy any SIM or Memory cards left in Devices we receive. We accept no liability or responsibility in the event that any device that has been sent with its SIM card incurs any charges. You shall continue to be responsible for any such charges and are responsible for cancelling any airtime contract linked to each Device. We are not responsible for any call costs that may be incurred arising before, or after, receipt of your device, or arising from any other circumstances whatsoever.
If the device is non-functional and has a "remote wipe" function, then we strongly advise that you attempt wiping the Device prior to sending it to us.
Getting the Device to Us
If posting the Devices to us we recommend that you use DPD or Royal Mail Special Delivery to the following address:

Using our free DPD service covers your product up to £100, if your product is high value we recommend to choose to send the product yourself we recommend sending your Device via Special Delivery means your Device(s) are insured up to a value of £500.
DPD Free Label: Once you’ve completed your order you can will receive a DPD label. You will need to print off a pre-paid postage label and take the parcel to your local DPD drop off point which can be found here https://www.dpdlocal-online.co.uk/products-and-services/dpd-drop-off . The Free DPD Returns service is insured up to £100 as long as you retain your tracked returns receipt. We strongly recommend choosing Special Delivery for any orders over the value of £100 as it covers your device(s) for up to £500 if lost or damaged DO NOT use Royal Mail Signed For when sending via Free DPD Returns as this will invalidate your insurance.
Please don't post phones through our letter box, we can't accept responsibility for phones that go missing if you do. Please hand your phones to a receptionist and request a receipt.
We aim to process devices within two working days of receiving them. Special Delivery and Drop in orders are prioritised. Please note after Christmas, Easter and Bank holidays, or new device releases we can experience a spike in order volume that can lead to slower than normal processing times.
Please be aware that we carry out a carrier check to determine the network of Devices. This can delay processing times by around 1-2 working days.
How we pay you
We provide payment by BACS. Provided the Device received is as advised by you and has been received within 14 days of you providing the details to us, we will make the BACS payment within 7 working days of receipt of the Device.
BACS payments will be issued after we process your order and will take up to 48 working hours to reach your account. It is the responsibility of you to enter the correct account number and sort code. Whilst we use software to verify these account details, but we cannot take responsibility for account and sort codes that are input incorrectly. Please note that BACS payments cannot be reissued under any circumstances.
If your Device doesn’t meet our requirements
We reserve the right to reject any Device we do not deem acceptable.
If a Device fails to meet the Device criteria’s like new, good condition, fair, minor damage and damaged devices you select as described in our requirements we will change your order accordingly to the correct condition. This will sometimes only be a partial reduction in price or ‘revised offer’ depending on the diagnosis of the device(s) by our operatives. You will receive an email informing you of the revised offer price with a reason. If you are not happy with a revised offer or downgrade we are happy to discuss the order and we will return the device to you at your own cost via Royal Mail 48hrs tracked.
If your Device does not power or if we cannot access the screen on your Device then we will render the Device value as £0. Please do not send us these Devices. If you do, legal ownership of these Devices will be deemed to pass to us on receipt and the Device will be destroyed and recycled at £0.
The Device must not be stolen or listed with us or a third party as stolen. We will check the Device with CheckMEND, from the suppliers of IMMOBILISE as used by UK Police forces to trace stolen and missing property. If the Device fails any due diligence check we may notify the relevant police authority and we may pass the Device and your details to them and the Quoted Value will not be paid to you
We do not accept stolen or barred Devices. All devices received by us are checked against the national CheckMend database in order to establish if any Devices have been registered lost, blocked or stolen by the Police, Insurance companies or Mobile Phone Networks. Any Devices that are found to be registered lost, blocked or stolen will be quarantined for a period of 28 days. If your Device is found to be registered lost, blocked or stolen you will need to contact CheckMend if you wish to have it unblocked. You will be notified automatically by email of the process you will need to follow. During the quarantine period if the block is removed the phone will be processed by us and the full original quoted price will be paid. If the block is not removed within the quarantine period and the Device has not been claimed by its rightful owner it will be destroyed. Any costs involved in returning rejected items will be paid for by the account holder.
Your data
By submitting your details you are agreeing that we may using your information (including name, address, telephone number, email address, Device make/model/IMEI/network) to allow us to process your trade in and contact you and the network in relation to the trade in and unlocking of the Device only.
We accept no responsibility in relation to the security, protection, confidentiality or use of Device content data and it is your responsibility to ensure that such data is removed from your Device prior to sending it to us. If we find data on the Device then we will remove it.
By sending your Device to us you agree to release us from all and any losses, claims or damages with respect to the data enclosed or stored therein or on any media used in conjunction with the Device.
Other information
We will not be liable for loss of your Device before we receive it. We’ll also not be legally responsible to you for any loss or damage that is not directly caused by us or which could not have reasonably been expected at the time we entered into the Agreement with you, for example, loss of income, business profit, savings and missed opportunities claims. Each party’s aggregate liability in relation to these Conditions (whether in contract or for negligence or breach of statutory duty or otherwise howsoever and whether to any entrant or otherwise) for any loss or damage shall be limited to and in no circumstances shall exceed £250 for any one incident or series of related incidents.
We reserve the right to withdraw or to change these Conditions at any time. Changes will be published on our website at RNDTECH.com
Nothing in these Conditions affect your legal rights as a consumer.
These Conditions are governed by English Law and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Conditions.
Device Criteria
Like New/ Good/ Fair Testing Criteria
Each device sold must match the make and model quoted on the order and meet the following criteria:
• You must be able to turn the device on and off.
• The device must be fully functional.
• Device must be complete with battery and back cover.
• The bodywork must have no cracks, missing plastics, screws or metal nor be detached from the main body of the device in any way.
• Device must have no missing buttons.
• LCD must function and power up correctly, fully displaying the operating system.
• LCD must have no lines, missing pixels, screen burn or pressure damage.
• LCD screen must not be protruding from casing.
• The display lens must be intact with no cracks.
• Touch screens must be fully functional.
• There must be no signs of liquid damage.
• The stylus must be included if originally sold with the device.
• Slider mechanisms must function correctly.
• Device must have no fake or non-original components.
• Excessive dents, chips, scratches or wear and tear may lead to a revised offer.
Conditions Criteria post above test.
• Like new – excellent condition no signs of any wear & tear like new condition
• Good Condition – some light marks not overly noticeable at arms length
• Fair – Heavy wear and tear to the screen, bezel or housing which is consistent with regular usage
Minor Damage
• The device must be fully functional.
• Device must be complete with battery and back cover.
• The bodywork can have cracks or dents
• Device must have no missing buttons.
• LCD must function and power up correctly, fully displaying the operating system.
• LCD must have no lines, missing pixels, screen burn or pressure damage.
• The display lens can have cracks
• Touch screens maybe partially functional.
• There must be no signs of liquid damage.
• The stylus must be included if originally sold with the device.
• Slider mechanisms must function correctly.
• Device must have no fake or non-original components.
• Excessive dents, chips, scratches or wear and tear may lead to a revised offer.
Damaged
• Malfunctions including system software, home button, Touch ID, Face ID and NFC.
• Physical damage to the screen or housing including damaged pixels, pressure marks, discolouration, or cracks.
• Signs of water damage.
• Missing Parts, including stylus’s.
• Battery health is less than 70%.
• Dust under the screen and/or on the camera lens.
iCloud Locked Apple Devices
If you are using Apple iCloud on your Apple device you must remove the device from your iCloud account before sending it to us.
If the device meets the working criteria, but is iCloud Locked the Working iCloud Locked price will be paid. If the device is Damaged/Faulty, but is iCloud Locked the Non-Working iCloud Locked price will be paid. Please note that we pay considerably less for any iCloud Locked device so please ensure that your Apple device is removed from iCloud.
Networks
For certain devices we require you to specify which network they are on as there are differences in price. If after testing the device is found to be locked to a different network we will change the price accordingly in the form of a revised offer
Working Gadgets
Gadgets include: Apple Watch, Apple iPod, Sony PSP, Amazon Kindle
Gadget sold must match the make and model quoted on the order and meet the following criteria:
• You must be able to turn the device on and off.
• Device must retain a charge.
• Device must be complete with battery and back cover.
• Device must have no missing or broken parts.
• Watches must be complete with strap and charger.
• The bodywork must have no cracks, missing plastics, screws or metal nor be detached from the main body of the device in any way.
• LCD must function and power up correctly, fully displaying the operating system.
• LCD must have no lines, missing pixels, screen burn or pressure damage.
• LCD screen must not be protruding from casing.
• The display lens must be intact with no cracks.
• Touch screens must be fully functional.
• There must be no liquid damage.
• All mechanisms must function correctly.
• All standard functionality and software must be in working order.
• Dents, chips or excessive wear and tear may lead to a reduction in the original price offered.
Revised Offers
If a device fails to meet the device criteria selected on your order and outlined in these terms and conditions we will change your order accordingly to the correct condition. This will sometimes only be a partial reduction in price or ‘revised offer’ depending on the diagnosis of the device(s) by our operatives. You will receive an email informing you of the revised offer price with a reason. If you are not happy with a revised offer or downgrade we are happy to discuss the order and we will return the device to you at your own cost via Tracked 48hr delivery.
Payment and Processing
RNDTECH Ltd offer payment by BACS or PAYPAL
BACS payments will be issued after we process your order and will take up to 48 working hours to reach your account. If you choose BACS it is the responsibility of the customer to enter the correct account number and sort code. We use software to verify these account details, but RNDTECH cannot take responsibility for account and sort codes that are input incorrectly. Please note that BACS payments cannot be reissued under any circumstances.
Paypal will be paid to the email address on the account and 3% will be taken for paypal fees, this will be paid within 48HRS

Lost, blocked or stolen mobile phones
Checkmend
We do not accept stolen or barred devices. All devices received by RNDTECH Ltd are checked against the national CheckMend database in order to establish if any phones have been registered lost, blocked or stolen by the Police, Insurance companies or Mobile Phone Networks.
This is done by RNDTECH Ltd submitting each 15 digit IMEI code, unique to each mobile phone, to CheckMend.
If your device is found to be registered lost, blocked or stolen you will need to contact CheckMend if you wish to have it unblocked. You will be notified automatically by email of the process you will need to follow.
Any devices that are found to be registered lost, blocked or stolen will be quarantined for a period of 28 days. During this period if the block is removed the phone will be processed by RNDTECH.com and the full original quoted price will be paid.
If the block is not removed within the quarantine period of 28 days and the phone has not been claimed by its rightful owner it will be destroyed. Any costs involved in returning rejected items will be paid for by the account holder.
If you feel the information held by CheckMEND is incorrect please email CheckMEND at support@checkmend.com or call them on 08700 112 850 with all the details including the IMEI number and they will assist you.

Data
Device Content
Please note that it is your responsibility to remove data from your device(s) before you send them to RNDTECH. Note that we accept no responsibility in relation to the security, protection, confidentiality or use of such data and it is your responsibility to ensure that such data is removed from your phone prior to sending it to us.
By sending your device to us you agree to release us from all and any losses, claims or damages with respect to the data enclosed or stored therein or on any media used in conjunction with the device. If your device is functional, we strongly advise that you delete all personal data from the device prior to sending it to us. If your device is non-functional and has a "remote wipe" function, then we strongly advise that you attempt wiping the device prior to sending it to us. If your device does not power or if we cannot access the screen on your device (to remove the data) then we will render the device £0. The device will then be destroyed and recycled at £0. Please do not send RNDTECH these devices
If we find data on the device then we will remove it
All handset are factory wiped to ensure no data is kept on the handsets.
SIM and Memory Cards
We will endeavour to remove any SIM or Memory cards left in devices we receive and destroy them. We accept no liability or responsibility in the event that any device that has been sent with its SIM card incurs any charges. You shall continue to be responsible for any such charges.

To register with RNDTECH you must be over eighteen years of age or, If you are under 18 years of age, that you have obtained your parent’s or guardian’s consent to sell your phone to RNDTECH Each registration is for a single user only. We do not permit you to share your username and password with any other person nor with multiple users on a network. Responsibility for the security of any passwords issued rests with you and if you know or suspect that someone else knows your password, you should contact us immediately. We may suspend or cancel your registration immediately at our reasonable discretion or if you breach any of your obligations under these terms and conditions.
